A new efficient fishing technique is Micro Jigging, fishing with small jigs from the shore as well as from the boat.
The Oceanic Team now has in its range a specialized rod for this technique called the Micro Jig.
The special feature it has is the solid tip which unlike a simple LRF rod is much longer at 50cm long while two thirds of the rod are much stiffer to maintain the strength of the rod against a strong opponent! Despite the large solid top, the idle speed is instantaneous with no unwanted rebounds.
This fact allows us to perfectly handle the small shots, whether they are 3gr or even 15gr, while at the same time it makes it ideal for light eging, i.e. for fishing with the smallest squid boxes up to size #2.5 or even #3.0 marginally!
Its solid tip also offers great sensitivity and will easily absorb the escape attempts of cephalopods (cuttlefish or squid), but without letting their sensitive flesh be torn. At the same time, it allows the reading of the place, when we use it with plans, warning us in time of both micro-nips and possible steps.
The two different lengths practically serve all our needs, both from the boat and from the shore. From the shore, the choice of the shorter model gives us better feel at the expense of long casting and the opposite is true for the 2.40m model whenever according to your needs you will determine and which one you will choose. From the boat, the choice of length is mainly determined by the space we have as the strength of both rods is the same.
In terms of technical characteristics, it has Sea Guide Low Rider guides to enhance the power of the blank and an ergonomic EVA handle which is flat at the bottom instead of oval, so that it gives us better handling of the plan and small squids during the jerks and in the its finish has a decorative cork. Its light weight is something that promises comfortable and relaxing long hours of fishing.
